Expectations

A covenant, not a contract.

Acceptance into The Legion Project is acceptance of a covenant. Eleven expectations — agreed to in writing, lived out in daily practice.

  1. 01

    Live as a faithful Christian

Daily prayer, Scripture, and a public Christian witness. Faith is the foundation of the program.

  2. 02

Meet weekly with your assigned mentor

No exceptions, no postponements. The mentor relationship is the spine of restoration.

  3. 03

    Attend church every Sunday

A local body of believers, chosen in coordination with your mentor.

  4. 04

    Participate in a small group

A men's Bible study, accountability group, or church small group — engaged weekly.

  5. 05

Respect women — no premarital relationships

Honor toward women in word and deed. No sexual relationships outside of marriage during the program.

  6. 06

    Keep a written budget

Track income and expense weekly with your mentor. Financial discipline is restoration.

  7. 07

    Abstain from substances

No alcohol, no illicit drugs, no misuse of prescription medication. Period.

  8. 08

    No weapons

Firearms and weapons of any kind are not permitted while in the program.

  9. 09

    Full legal compliance

Honor every condition of parole, every appointment, every requirement of the law.

  10. 10

    Honor the repayment obligation

Repay funds advanced as employment is established — the sustainability of the next man depends on it.

  11. 11

    Follow mentor directives

Submit to the spiritual and practical direction of your assigned mentor and of The Legion Project leadership.
